Tuesday’s Headlines: Shady Driver, Shady Owner, Shady Car Edition
There's just one month until Election Day, Nov. 6, and if you want a State Senate that is responsive to street safety issues, you need to vote for people who you think care about street safety. We have no opinion on who they are, but StreetsPAC has offered suggestions here.

Thursday’s Headlines: Farewell to L.A. Edition
The National Association of City Transportation Officials convention is over, and by the time you read this, I'll be heading back to New York. But Los Angeles continues to impress me. Mark my words: By 2028, the City of Angels will be more bikeable, more walkable, and have a world-class subway system. And it'll still be one of the greatest culinary cities in the Western world.

Tuesday’s Headlines: Can You Go Three Days In L.A. Without a Car Edition
It's Day Two at the National Association of City Transportation Officials' annual conference in L.A., where I have still not used a car (I've been on the bus, used my feet and ridden a bike so far). I can't believe how many people were talking about non-street safety topics yesterday! But while America was going up in flames, I spent the afternoon schooling WABC Radio hosts Curtis Sliwa and Rita Cosby on why cars are bad, why bike lanes are good, and why politicians need to actually support public transit instead of talking about supporting public transit. The one-hour Curtis and Cosby "Tri-State Transportation Panel" is archived here. Give a listen.

Wednesday’s Headlines: This Can’t Be Happening Edition
I'm sorry, but I've ridden the bus with many unsavory creatures over there years (looking at you, Curtis Sliwa!) but the story that there may be bedbugs on MTA buses is all I'm thinking about right now. Bedbugs. On the buses. Read all about it here. And here.
