Kitchen High Line Block Party
Join Friends of the High Line and The Kitchen for the second Kitchen High Line Block Party, a neighborhood street fair. They'll be closing a street under the High Line to make way for dozens of free, artist-led activities, live music and other performances, and affordable food from local restaurants.

Transportation Alternatives Discussion of NYC Public Space at the Guggenheim
Join Transportation Alternatives for an afternoon at the Guggenheim Museum as T.A. takes part in the acclaimed Shapes of Space exhibition. Shapes of Space explores the concept of space within art, and T.A. has assembled an interactive discussion of New York City's public space. Visitors can enjoy the Guggenheim's collections and exhibits, and join T.A. for a special presentation including scenes from Contested Streets, a collection of Streetfilms by Clarence Eckerson and presentations by leading activists who are reinventing NYC streets.

Car-Free Sunday in the Bronx & Transportation Alternatives Bronx Committee Meeting
Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. presents Bronx on the Move, a series of family fitness events. Power walks led by Health People, Inc., learn bike safety tips, improve your riding skills and pump up your tires at Transportation Alternatives' bike station, dance workshops instructed by Contemporary Ballet Theatre, relay races and other games offered by Montefiore School Health, tips on healthy cooking and eating, jump rope contests, hopscotch, roller skating and other kids’ activities, and free health screenings.

Celebration of the Extra Car-Free Hour in Central Park
Please join Transportation Alternatives and Upper Green Side as they celebrate the inauguration of the extra morning car-free hour in Central Park. They'll revel in the new car-free time and renewing the call for a loop road that is totally free of traffic. They'll have car-free Central Park signs to wave and possibly a few donuts. Reports are that joining the early morning quest for a car-free park will be an adorable Vizla Hungarian hunting dog.
