  • A great editorial in the Daily News this morning slamming Assembly Dems:

The subways, buses and suburban rail lines are more packed than they have ever been because of the rising cost of gasoline – and riders have no prayer of relief.

Blame for this miserable situation goes to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and his Democratic troops. For they were the wrongheaded ones who killed congestion pricing and in the process rejected $354 million in federal aid for immediate transportation improvements.

This is not going away until the Assembly Dems come up with their own plan to reduce congestion and raise money for mass transit.
