The latest streets and transportation news from Streetsblog NYC.

Big news out of Albany: Austin C. Jefferson can report that legislative leaders have signed off on Gov. Hochul’s proposal to include Andrew Gounardes and Emily Gallagher’s Stop Super Speeders bill in the state budget, assuring it becomes law.

Lots of details need to be worked out, but it’s a huge win for street safety advocates.

In our second slot: These are the kinds of stories we love, but also, admittedly, make us a little wistful. After all, the Chambers Street station didn’t become the most awful place in the whole subway system overnight! (But that means it’s about time that the MTA has finally committed to fixing it.)

Also today, we look at how Green-Wood Cemetery wants to get more cyclists to the edge of the famous boneyard (but still not inside!).

And we have news from the mayor’s morning ride.

Plus today’s headlines.
