Another Park Slope incident reported on Brownstoner (also via Curbed) looks like a charred Subaru may have been collateral damage when nearby garbage bags were set aflame. And it's possible the vehicle fires could be part of a perceived uptick in overall neighborhood vandalism and property crime, as reported on Gowanus Lounge, rather than an anti-auto (or anti-yuppie) statement.

of a collaboration with the Project for Public Spaces (PPS) undertaken
over the last couple of years. Two public workshops were held to get
community input on the plans, which address four different areas of
Myrtle Avenue, one of the main commercial streets for Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Celebrating a Car-Free Afternoon In Prospect Park
Yesterday was the first day of a car-free evening rush hour on Prospect Park's East Drive. Car-Free Park advocates and Transportation Alternatives members manned the barricades at the Park Circle entrance, reminiscing over more than a dozen years of activism and organizing. Cyclists Throwing Selves Under Cars in Brooklyn
The Daily News reports that more cyclists are getting hit by cars in Williamsburg and Greenpoint -- an increase of 38 percent and 188 percent, respectively, over last year.
