In unsurprising news, an e-micromobility industry group is applauding Mayor Mamdani’s efforts to make the streets more hospitable to people outside of cars — but say his administration must do more to boost the adoption of e-micromobility.
Self interest aside, infrastructure improvements do make NYC’s streets safer for everyone: Pedestrians, drivers, and those on two wheels. Interestingly, the Next Mile Coalition also is proposing that the city creates a trade-in program to get illegal e-motos off the streets.
