WE ACT Climate Plan Calls for Better Upper Manhattan Bicycling, Walking
While most of Northern Manhattan escaped the harshest ravages of Hurricane Sandy, there was some flooding along the waterfront, including inside the 148th Street subway station. Next time around, a severe storm could take a different turn and things could be worse for waterfront areas in Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood. Pulaski Bridge Bike Path Delayed Again, Now Scheduled for April 2016
Construction delays will push completion of the Pulaski Bridge protected bike lane to 2016, says DOT, the second setback for the project. Until the dedicated bikeway is built, the bridge's narrow walking and biking path will only get more cramped as Citi Bike debuts in the neighborhoods on both sides of the bridge.

Bike-Share Arrives in Queens as Citi Bike Marks Its First Expansion
Citi Bike's first station in Queens is now up and running, with 90 more coming to Long Island City, Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Bedford-Stuyvesant by the end of August. It's Citi Bike's first expansion since launching a little more than two years ago.
