The latest streets and transportation news from Streetsblog NYC.

Council members were downright pissed off at the Department of Transportation at a rally yesterday in support of an effort to ban parking at intersections, a common-sense measure also known as daylighting. Our own Kevin Duggan broke the story that the Council would be forced to blink to get the bill over the finish line, but not before lawmakers said the agency should be ashamed.

In other news, we have a great national story from Kea Wilson about how the GOP-led federal government is going to push more highways and fewer bike lanes in the next surface transportation bill.

Plus other news. Have a great day!
