The latest streets and transportation news from Streetsblog NYC.

Is it great that Streetsblog now has an upstate edition, Streetsblog Empire State? Today, our lead story comes from excelsior-minded reporter Austin C. Jefferson, who followed Mayor Mamdani around the State Capitol yesterday.

We also have a great story about how no one at City Hall is moving to implement Sammy’s Law to lower citywide speed limits to 20 miles per hour.

Such a move could improve safety … which brings us to our next story, by new associate reporter Max White, who digested a complex MIT report and spat out a great story.

We’ll have more news later today. What a team. What a Streetsblog.
