The Post article is so disingenuous and callous to the rights and lives of human beings that it makes me angry. Are you seriously telling me that 5th avenue is too narrow and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it? Like we can’t – I don’t know – move some parked cars somewhere else? Would that be worth a human life? Funny how these people are willing to pass a mandatory helmet law if it can save only one life but the same is not true when it comes to finding their own private space to store their property. There is just no limit to how much these people will impose on ithers to preserve their entitlements.

At work via bicycle.  No one else here.

  • Ben Kintisch

Yes for the next few days, commuters who can walk and bike will be in to work a lot faster than those stuck in unrelenting auto traffic or spotty transit service. Imagine if Citibike was already up and running – there would be record ridership today!

  • I am really impressed you guys are publishing. Good Show.

i can always commute by bicycle.  but my problem is how do i get to jersey if NJ Transit buses dont accept my bicycle

  • Jesse Greene

In my office now only a few people came who walked here and there’s me who biked.

Let us not forget that in the midst of the hurricane, Joe Lhota spent time tweeting a link to that Post article and then suggested it was somehow to blame for an increase in bike-bus crashes.

    Do not forget this.

just wondering if park fast still has those $1 day parking for bicycles
