Electric cars are so much better than gasoline cars, that the main thing we need to do to promote electric cars as a replacement for electric cars… is to make it possible to SERVICE them.

Tesla doesn’t have a service center in upstate NY. It needs one.

(Long-range electric cars are the only relevant electric cars, and their natural home is rural areas. Tesla is aggressively moving down the market with a much cheaper car in 2018. But we still need to be able to service them.)

Just remember to pay the parking meter for your piano.

  • Andrew

If I park it at a metered spot, of course. But we were discussing free parking space, so that’s where I was putting my piano.

  • Wile E. Coyote

“the liability imposed by a piano is negligible, so there’s no requirement for liability insurance.”

You clearly don’t watch the Looney Tunes! 🙂

Sorry to revisit this older thread, but a news story came out today saying the Koch brothers are getting ready to spend $10 billion in lobbying/outreach to end the federal and various state EV subsidies, and “make the public aware of all the benefits of petroleum-based transportation fuels.”

I’d assume you’re mostly opposed to this agenda, so keep in mind that people with real money in the game do think that the EV incentives work to push people to choose cleaner vehicles.

    Oh, good catch!
