    i can just smell the NBBL creating a new group called the NBBV.

    Whether bikes, cars, whatever; basic transportation is not supposed to be an extreme sport; yet sport, and so other many transcendent activities (like art, religion, science, etc.) are basic human necessities; and, years back there used to be velodromes all over the city. 

    Read the NY Times article and you’ll see that the velodrome is only a part of the facility and the current Brooklyn Bridge bike path — with environs work-in-progress — is probably one of the safest and most scenic in the city . . .

    So yes, Spectacular Spectacular!

    And all those with racy extreme sport inclinations, exercise regimens, etc.; bring it on here — and build lots more places for this stuff — off normal public places purposed for basic transportation and the hum drum functionality and wonderful intimacies of daily life.
